Splashdown: The Verdict is in: Guilty on all counts.
Pent up emotions can now be freed.
Vandenburg looked entirely perplexed. Then disbelief settled in.
Mom Shawna and the twins boys weren’t present. Likely wanting to protect the boys, Shawna shielded them from a sad reality. At least for now. Only Dad Rod, an an unidentified woman stayed behind. A little on the family background, addressing how people become criminally entitled is, here.
It’s all over except the shouting. However, the crying has commenced.
The football team that sticks together, can sink the entire ship.
The victim can rest. Then return to what had been, her productive life.
Prayers for all.
My feeling is the younger boys aren’t in the same amount of denial. Am thinking they’ll be okay.

Now for the penalty phase. The fact that this kid really thought he was going to get off scott free illustrates what a sick sociopath he really is. Other sources have reported that Corey was joking and laughing at lunch the day of the verdict because he thought his “apology” and his bible were going to be enough. His stoic response felt to me that he realized he didn’t get over.
Can you shed any light on a report that Brandon’s original defense team quit? Long was the second attorney to take the case supposedly. Maybe the first team told them to plead and the family didn’t want to listen?

It’s a question I have thought much about…and mentioned what I would do, here.

Basically, while I think Brandon is one really depraved guy who thinks of himself first, second and third; including what he did to try to cover his crimes afterwards; I also believe the Vandenburg family is in total denial. Like 200%. On the bright side, since the parents took the younger boys to the closing arguments and they heard the unvarnished, all; am also thinking those boys won’t make the choices Brandon, repeatedly, did.

I hope you’re right Ms. Russell. They’re being raised by the same parents who did such a spectacular job with Brandon. >_<
