Since beginning this blog I helped send two former attorneys to prison, because they continued practicing law online. It took a while for the State Bar and the DA to get the message…but eventually, they did right by the public, albeit initially pouting about finally doing their job before the Statute of Limitations made it impossible. That’s a trick they use to delay, delay, oops — too late.
Also, some stories are too big for me. See both stories in Sandra Bland. Great examples of media refusing to do their job, after lazy, inaccurate reporting.
I also tip reporters to great exposés. Exposés are my jam.
Google “10 news, sexting San Diego Deputy DA” or “Lubbock organ harvesting, San Diego Union Tribune”
When I first tipped the reporter , he interrupted me with,
“Lubbock! Why are you reading the newspapers in Lubbock?”
My attorney clients and litigants appreciate my work, and I like getting their stories out. But I also work with anyone with a good story to tell that isn’t getting told.
In the above examples I didn’t have a client. At least initially. But as both stories were newsworthy I did it to educate the public. Alerting the public to dangerous situations is something I Like doing.
Thanks for dropping by.😊
